Paul,
I have 2 strikers, one in 308 and the other in 260. I have only shot a couple of deer and antelope with the 308. The 260 is the most accurate handgun I have ever owned. It shoots 1/2 inch with everything I've tried in it (only 3 different loads) I am really impressed with the way it knocks down game. Most animals have just dropped and the farthest one ever went was 5 yards, backwards
I sold my T/C encore and XP's after I got my strikers.
wyote

Paul,
I purchased a model 510F Striker in 7mm08 just prior to Xmas and just finished last week working up pet loads for it using Varget and Sierra 130gr SSP bullets. My best two five shot groups at 100yds, off bags, with a B&L 2x6 were a measured .789 and .907....needless to say I'm very pleased.
The only fault I found with the pistol was the trigger pull but I knew prior to the purchase that I'd probably need a Rifle Basix replacement trigger for it (and it did) and I ordered one and installed it before I even took it to the range.
I own three centergrip XP100's and three Contender frames with several barrels and the accuracy of the Striker is just as good, if not better, than any other handgun I own and I'm glad I bought it.
I'll will say this for the Striker...it is heavier than any other competition or hunting handgun I own. With a B&L 2x6 scope set in Leupold rings and a one peice Leupold base it weighs in at 6.6 pounds.
IKE,
Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try with the varget powder. My trigger needed a little tuning up and i did that after ishot my groups. It'll probebly shoot better now but i haven't had the chance to test it sence then.
Paul

I have a striker in 308 and might I say it's the best hunting handgun I've had. Had Encores and these shoot much better and felt recoil seems less, had trigger adjusted and it is better but I think replacement is in it's future.......

I have a 308 striker and am still trying to get it to group. I am still in the development stage. It is good to here that if I keep at it I will find its sweet spot. I have been trying 150 NOS balistic tips and 130 SSP, booth with varget pouder. My lone eagle 358 win does less than 1MOA and is great so I hope the 308 does as well.olefish

I have done a lot of reloading for the Strikers. I would also suggest the 4895's (Hodgen or IMR). Also have had great success w/ the 4350's and MAGprimers Fed215 or CCI250. Sparkman

WWChamplain,
I plan on using it for something! just depends on how much time i have to hunt. I want to find a place to hunt Black Bear there. I've heard that they have some monsters running arround. Also want to find some place to hunt hogs, but it's looking like a couple hour drive to where thier at. You'll have to come out once i find a good place for hogs and bears.
Paul
