I am pretty new to the area, hopeing to do some fishing when the ice melts. Can anyone give me pointers on where to go for trout and grayling? I am hoping to fish firelake for pike.
Would appreciate any help/info.

I have a friend that just moved to MT from Eagle River, so I will as him about a few places to fish there.

Not sure about the imediate area around eagle river, but the Mat-Su Valley has some good holes. Grayling on the Upper willow creek and little willow. Rainbows everywhere. Salmon in the fall, everywhere. Many lakes stock with rainbow, grayling, and char.

I've caught rainbows in fire lake as well as beach lake. I've done much better fishing from a canoe than from the banks. I also fish in Anchorage at the lakes by the University, and do ok there.
