I've not hunted with mine yet so I'd like to give it a go. I told the rancher if they had some shooter black bucks or axis,I'd pony up the dough.Knowing I could go the 223 the whole way helps. Otherwise,I'm focusing on the varmints and bobcat and hoping I'm around when my son gets a shot on a hog.
A black buck or axis would be a nice bonus,though.

For you gents in the know, are you permitted to use 223s for big game in Texas? We pretty much go by centerfire or rimfire. You put a scope on it yet or going with the e otech deal. Bought 3 or 4 different kinds of shells to try in mine.

Last time I checked, any centerfire was legal for whitetails. Anything goes with exotics.

I remember how much everyone enjoyed checking out the arsenals in Tenn. It won't be any different on this trip.
I need to get away from the DC metro area. I'm truly looking forward to this and seeing old friends and personally meeting new ones.

Not sure that one is for me yet, have a one in 9 twist. Really don't know enough about it yet.I'm trying the 55gr and 62gr, with different bullets at this point. Will see how that works out.

If it's half as fun as the last one it will be great! Speaking of arsenals, I will be happy to supply anybody with weapons that might not want the hassle of air travel with firearms. I'm still hoping some more of the guys from the last trip can make it. (It's really CRAZY the way that some of the most obnoxious internet personas are really the greatest people.)
