I love .22's and have lots of 'em. Here's my list in order or recollection rather than preference:
(1) Marlin Model 989 autoloader
(2) Mossberg Palimino lever-action carbine
(3) Norinco (Browning take-down clone)
(4) Savage Model 65M bolt-action in .22 WMR
(5) Savage Model 24 in .22LR over 20 ga. shotgun (my favorit squirrel gun)
(6) Mauser single-shot bolt-action sporter (my most accurate by far)
(7) Ruger standard auto (pistol)
(8) Ruger Super-Single Siz Convertible (Old Model)
(9) German break-open single-shot target pistol

My favorite is a Marlin 39D followed by the Rem. 597 .22 mag., Ruger 77/22, 10/22 and a S&W mdl. 41 pistol. Two I let get away and never should have Browning 22 lever gun and Rem. 581

I have had 2 10/22 blued carbines that rusted very easily, 3 Ram-Line 15-shot Mountain Eagle pistols(all crap, BTW-3 or 8 misfires per mag with any ammo), a Ruger SSS Blued Convertible (rusted up on me...plus 12" 50M Mag groups), a NEF 9-shot revolver (Even Crappier), and a Jennings J-22 (The Utmost POS I Have Ever Seen).
Currently, though, I just have a new SS 10/22 All-Weather w/3-9X, a Browning Std. Buckmark, and an Encore I plan on getting the firing pin conversion and a Match LR barrel for.
Other than that, I am considering turning this 10/22 I have into a bull-barreled tackdriver w/a 4-12X Bushnell and a Hogue stock.
I have my share of FUN!!! Got a question. With all the .22's that are showing up I haven't seen a Weatherby. The reason I ask is my dad owns one, best shooting gun I've ever seen. I was wondering if this is a rare gun. I believe the barrel says Weatherby Mark XXII (semi-auto). I think its fairly old b/c its been around ever since I was alive, that makes it at least 18. Thanks for any answers.

The Weatherby's are pretty nice. Used to hunt with a guy that had one. Beautiful gun and a pretty good shooter. I know they were in production in the early '90s but I'm not sure when they quite making them.

hoookay I still think slower than I type... Had a Ruger 10/22 that I put together with PacNor barrel, trigger job, etc, would put 10 shots in 3/8" at 30 yds. lost it to a home break-in. replaced it with a Ruger factory HB, wouldn't shoot worth sour owl sheet. Traded it off and got an savage/Ansultz.. IT didn't shoot either.traded that for the present Sako... Finally found a factory .22 that I can live with. also own a 94-22 trapper that I am very pleased with. have owned 3 94-22's in the past, this one is a keeper. good shootin, vbshootinrange.

Well boys better pull up a stump gotta tell you about this. as you know I accidently invented the new shooting sport, the Top gun challege, while trying to get the army back to their old shooting habits. One of the most difficult targets in the world is the Black death Challege. download target www.starachery.net I wound up being one of three shooters to ever max it out with a squirrel rifle. under ten pounds two onces.

My number one gun is a CZ-452 lux even the anshutz can't out shoot it in this game. Wanna Play?
