RE; I have the following:

1) Ruger 10/22 with a Butler Creek heavy fluted bull barrel with porting, Hogue synthetic stock with pebble grain forend and grip, match trigger, hammer, and a leupold scope on it. It keeps most of all match ammo into one hole at 50yrds.
2) Marlin 39, Very nice rifle, the one my dad taught me how to shoot, when I was a youngster...Still accurate after all these years...
3) S&W 41 and also a Ruger Bull barreled Target Model, These two can basically "shoot themselfs" and are as accurate as you can hold. At the indoor range I can make one holed groups at 25ft:) . I was lucky to have such 'good luck' with these and all are fine guns to teach beginners in the art of shooting. ONE OF THE JOYS IN TEACHING BEGINERS, is that THEY Seem to enjoy making tight groups with any of these...take care and good shooting...MVGS

About 6 weeks ago, my #2 son and I went to the shooting range. While there, he decided to shoot our Henry Golden Boy. The target was a steel target set at 100 yards. From a free-standing position, he consistently, time and time again, was able to hit that target.

That Henry Golden Boy, and my #2 son, showed me something special that day.

Approximately 4 weeks ago, I took my #1 son to the indoor range here in Monrovia, CA. After practicing with my 9mm CZ 85, he decided to shoot his S&W Semi auto Sporter in 22lr. This little S&W has been topped off with a BSA Red Dot Scope. With the paper target set at 7 yards, he amazed other shooters by shooting out the black 10 ring!

When we go shooting with our 22's, we have a rule that one must shoot out the black 10 ring before one can quit and go home. Our favorite pistol to accomplish that task is the S&W Sporter 22lr topped with a BSA Red Dot Scope.

Well I have 2 Marlins. A 6081 US Cavalry Commemorative, and a 6082 Alamo Commemorative, and a little 10 shot auto pistol. The 2 Marlins are absolute tack drivers. Can hold a grouping less than one-half-inch with both at 25 yds with 17 rounds.

1 Ruger 10/22
2 Ruger MarkII Gov Model
3 Marlin 25 MN
I finally got out to shoot the Marlin today. For a 22 mag that cost less than a wood stocked 10/22,I could'nt beleive the way it shoots! Now I'm going to have to look at the 880.
Marlin model 25 (my first gun ... not a good shooter but i still love it and it still goes to the range ... usually with my girlfriend)

Ruger 10/22
Ruger 77/22 mag

I have plans for 3-4 more. The fourth depends on whether my gf is happy shooting the marlin or gets sick and tired of my 10/22 out shooting her. Then it will be matching 77/22's for us!
