The apps store for the iphone or ipod is packed.

Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on ones they've used and like a lot? Any topic/genre is welcome. Never know what you'll find.

Ballistic and Wind Speed for shooting.

Doodlejump and Lock N Roll for games.

Groups and 2Do for work.

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

I don't have an iphone, but I read an article this week about a new app you can download and not burn your minutes.

It' called Line2, looks pretty good.

Using the apps doesn't count against your minutes does it? I picked up an I phone a couple weeks ago. Pretty damn cool.

Dunno - mine's just the ipod. I also got one for tossing paper into a garbage can but they introduce a fan.

Ballistic is great.

Fieldrunners is cool.

Nanosaur is a bitchin' flight simulator with weapons.

Warfare, Inc is a VERY good strategy warfare game. If you get that one, get good, then I will kick your annoying BUTT at it online! grin

Flight Control (?) I think it's called is the ultimate crapper-ap.

The 1st-person shooters I've tried aren't great, but I have not tried them all. Desert Sandstorm isn't bad.

The "All in one Gamebox" is a great deal.

Am thinking that ballistic is going to be bought sooner rather than later. There were some others I'd like to try in the same genre.

Warfare, Inc. really is good, and I really would enjoy whupping on you in the online multiplayer game. grin

And don't discount Nanosaur. Yeah, you are flying a dinosaur (!), but it's a killer simulator and you have very cool weapons and LOTS of stuff to kill (that wants to kill you).

It doesn't use your minutes. You just download everything from Itunes. It'll charge your account for whatever apps you download, unless the app is free.

The app I use the most is The Weather Channel

That and Words For Friends - an on-line scrabble game with whoever wants to take you on.

A couple GPS apps I've downloaded and discarded are Trails and Spyglass. They're nice but will suck your battery down to nothing in a hour - making them a bit useless. Phone gets noticeably hot, too.

Nightshot is a nice app that lets you take pretty decent pictures in dim light - you'll be surprised at the improvement over the iphone camera.

Camera Zoom is a good app for taking close ups and PCaptions is a good one to add captions to photos. PS Mobile allows me to orient photos sent to me sideways.

I didn't understand a word you said, but whatever it was I'm right there with you.

you will be happy with ballistic.... I love the click charts and allows you to input the kill zone radius. You will see the whiz nag magnums don't am,mount to much extra distance on most game animals.

paper toss is simple and addicting too

I use the AccuWeater, some games, and one of the best aps, which is Pandora.
That is a free streaming 'radio' that lets you pick what sort of music you want to listen to. Free. smile

Barnes & Nobel has an eReader that is ok, but not fantastic.

if you like to party and drive home, BAC calc is good to have

Sorry if any of these are repeats:

Air Mouse: turns your phone into a computer track-pad
Dictionary: self-explanatory
iStrobeSoft: strobe guitar tuner - very accurate
MotionX GPS: self explanatory
SketchBook: drawing/painting app
pUniverse: star chart
Topo Maps: self explanatory
RedLaser: scans UPC code, then lists vendors' price and locations

I am using doodlebowling, paper toss and radio 5-0

Sat at work today and listened to the Chicago PD radio traffic all day. That will make the day fly by but depressing. Lots of threatened suicide and missing schitzophrenics.

Someone stole a furnace today. Was hoofin it down Cicero...
