April 1st and hope all the bear hunters are sighted in and ready to go. Good luck to those going and lets hear of your plans and hopefully see some pics. Me I plan on a few day trips around my home town. This year is perfect for getting out early as the snow is all gone down low and the logging slashes are snow free quite high up. I guess its time to break in the 45/70 guide gun and maybe the 8mm mag.My goal is to only take a bear in the 7ft range, nothing smaller so I do not know how much success I will have, but i know just getting out is reward enough. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

I will buy a tag, and will likely go for a few day trips. I'd be surprised if I didn't see a few bears, but I likely won't shoot one. No motivation, but it's a good excuse to get out. A very large bear with nice color and in a convenient location might change my mind.
