I just got a nifty little gun that I might take for the hog shin dig. Picked up the transfer last night.
Its an H&R Classic Carbine in .45 colt. Kinda homely in that H&Rlike way but it sure is a trim little package. 20" barrel, decent Marble's sights. I picked it up thinking about eventually reaming it to .454 Casull, and having a neat cheap plaything.
Should make a dandy hog thumper as is though.
I know folks rag on them, but the heavy barreled .223 I got for a truck gun a few years ago sure does shoot.

I am so indecisive with what to bring, I might just bolt my safe in bed of the truck and bring all mine  List at this point is: 870 12 guage the new .45 Colt carbine I mentioned maybe my ruger 223 of course since I am road tripping it, my 1911

Well, the 375 Ruger is going to Texas for sure! What a monster! Got some Hornady 300 gr loads, just to tide me over for brass, till next weekend. Man, that loosens the wax in your brain. Went out with my daughter, her son, and her boyfriend, this morning. No grouping, as I haven't got my bench finished. Hope to get more shots in tomorrow. I just put a Falcon Meanace 1.5 x 5 about an hour ago. Should be fun! Rifle is a #1 Talo limited edition.
