Remington Cor-Lokt? or Nosler Partition? Basing this on the weight retention & lack of boattail.

That would be my first call as well. It has certain characteristics that also suggest Pro-Hunter (Sierra), except for the internal cuts/expansion ridges; but those also look like what you typically see with Hornady though the jacket base is not as rounded as they tend to be. Core-Lokt is a good call IMO.
It's obviously not Partition however.

not a partition because it lacks the exposed lead on the base.
but my guess is the Hornady Interlock or the Corelokt.
but it may be Speer GS or Hot-cor?

You are correct Klik,
I didn't think about the lead core, I was basing it off the weight retention. Which is about normal for a Partition.

Speer Hot Cor it is.. Took the pics at my buddys shop. He loads for a friend of his. 30-06 58grs of H100V 165gr Speer Hot Cor did in the Hog. Did not see any pics of said 400lb Hog, but I've no doubt it was at least a big sum-bitch.. The Hot Cor is also this fellas go to bullet for his elk huntin. Looks good to me. Thinkin I might just need to see if the boys -06 likes them..

Amongst the CC's I've used the Speer Hot Core at standard velocities always seemed to cling together pretty well....the 130 270 is also a good bullet.
The 280 Remington is overbore.
The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.

Buy them while you can, boys. Speer is discontinuing the Hot-Cor for the new Deep Curl. I admit to using a bunch of 145grn Hot-Core bullets in a .280 without complaint. No matter, we will all end up using an unleaded version of some sort. We all got used to it with gasoline.

I've killed my share of deer and elk both with Hotcors, either 270 or 30 cal. They've always done me a good job.
