Well I sent my kimber to Karl to get the barrel fluted and decided to have him cerakote the whole thing while he had it.
It came out excellent, Karl does outstanding work, this was my 270wsm now thinking about sending him my montana .223

Have one of the handles on my Montana. It's a nice touch.

Looks nice, how much weight did it loose, and what did he charge you to flute it?

Thx

Another option to lose some weight would be to lighten the triggerguard. I was really surprised with how "heavy" that thing is.

Not to be a pain, but I would like to see some more pictures! Close-ups on the flute work and a better peek at the cerakote.

Nice!

I'm more curious what he charged to cerakote it? I've been giving 'Black T' a serious thinking about for the 308 Montana.

I'm curious about the cost and how much weight was lost, but I already said that...grin

Never been a fan of blood grooves on a rifle...

Coatings however laugh

Schmalts needs to make Ti handles for the 84's, and Ti trigger gaurds. I'd buy two of each wink

I've never been much of a fan of either cause I'm generally rebarreling from time to time. Now if I wasn't to be rebarreling then maybe...

Looks great! I didn't think there was enough "meat" on a Montana barrel to flute it. Learn something new everyday.

+1 on what GreatWaputi said. Awful skinny barrel to begin with. Looks super, though.
