It's a .250-3000 99-EG made about 1955-56 (no scope mount holes) serial #680xxx. It comes in the original cardboard Sav box with serial # marked on outside & name of store it was purchased thru in Pembroke! The gun supposidly has only a couple rounds shot thru it, the original box of Dominon shells are in the box with 2 rounds missing.( I believe it) The hang tag is in the box looking unused! The rifle is new The instruction sheet, parts breakdown sheet & whatever else is in the box! The Dominion box (not shown)with 18 rds will be thrown in unless sold State side.

Well it seems Hunt 101 won't co-operate <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
Joe has come thru to save the day & post some pics for me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

This certainly is an incredible set. One can only wonder why the original purchaser never used the firearm but simply left it in the box for close to 50 years.

Jed...

For what it's worth, I agree with you... and I'm willing to say so in open text. Setting up a "bidding war" in this forum just doesn't seem right to me, either. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Just my 2...

Here's the story as I understand it (gun came from known local source)
Fellow bought the gun for hunting, fired couple shots, passed away, sat in closet till wife passed, then was handed down to son whom is a non hunter & stashed it in his closet! Gun had no sentimental value to him so here it is.

I respect your opinions, but fail to see any bidding war anywhere in this or any other thread?

Jedd-- pardon my language but bite me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
First- you can't fan his (the owner) ego!
He's NOT watching or reading this thread <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
You can't fan my ego <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I don't own the gun <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> nor am I making a penny off it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
You put a price on the other thread & I appreciate it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
If you want the gun but can't afford the price indicated <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />--PM an offer!

I'm not divulging anybodys elses offer to YOU or anybody if that's what your after <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

And as for changing the rules <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> sorry, but I make the rules <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> & as FAIR as I can make them for buyer & seller

Edited in attempt to please everyone <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Jed's correct....this isn't an auction site. You're having an auction even if you aren't calling it that....if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck...etc. You need to be on a site like AuctionArms.

Also, I don't appreciate the "bite me" remark. Everybody here tries to help and that attitude is uncalled for. You asked for an oppinion of value and got it....time to price it and list it in the classifieds.

Elwood

I apoligize if I offended you or anyone on the site Elwood <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
But I didn't care & still don't for that bullsxt ego comment or implications.
Call it a silent auction if you want, Would there really be a big diff if I asked $2000. & accepted lower offer <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

There's a better idea <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Happy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'm with Jed, price it or put it on an auction site. This is not the place for a silent auction.!!!!

This rifle is in exactly the same condition my 99T is in but I don't have the box, same clean checkering beautiful case coloring etc. I thought I'd never see another early 99 with as much condition as mine. Sweet!!! Thanks for posting the pictures. If I were you I'd post it on Auction Arms or Gun Broker and post that it's in Canada and you have a person that will assist in exporting it. Wouldn't be the first time I saw an auction set up that way. The exception to that advice would be if someone here has offered you the 2k you were looking for.

Appreciate the advice SavT
What calibers your T in? Mines in 30-30 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> In fact lets start a T thread after X-mas with pics? I'm sure everyone would be interested <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Not really lookin for 2k or whoreing it around, just posted a number trying to keep everybody happy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif" alt="" />
I think dealins pretty much over anyway, got a couple real decent offers <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> One guy in particular is real straight forward & up front <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I'll give it a couple more days because during x-mass everyone will be busy anyway <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

A T thread would be nice, I'd like to see the T's and they're sights. I know all the T's never came with the red and white's so I'd like to see what you guys have on them. Theres alot more of you guys with T's here than expected so lets show them. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

BTW, if anyone has a T and can't post pics, send them to me and I'll post them for you.
