I saw a 410 shotgun that folded up into about an 18" by 10" rectangle that easily fits in the back of the tractor seat. It would be great for shooting snakes while feeding cattle. Anyone know of this gun and who might make it. Thanks.

are you refering to a "poachers" style of 410? a fair few European manufacturers had shotguns in this style.
Also, springfield armoury made a "survival" combo that folded up pretty small. Was normally in a 410/22lr combo. It is called the springfield M6 scout.
Yep, I had one a long time ago. Sorry, as always, that I sold it.
Got one NIB. Been sitting in the preservative grease since my grandfather bought it. His father in law was the knife foreman for Marbles. I'll never shoot it.
bcp, from your link, the bottom comment identifies it as how I remember them "J.L. Galef and Son N.Y. N. Y. MAVI-GARDONE VT Italy" Sold as the Galef Companion. The original one I got for my 12th birthday in 1969 was still marked Baretta, 20ga. with 28" full choke. Great guns, the later ones from Galef were much rougher in finish, the stocks were clubby and the checkering was crude. I wish I still had mine, but a coke head neighbor stole it and my two sporterized Mausers. A 96 Swede in a Fajen mannlicher style stock and a 95 Spanish in 7x57 in another Fajen, a Weatherby style. Both had been done by my dad in the mid to late 60's. I would have dearly loved to have recovered any of those, but they were never found.

I have one of those cheap (under $100) 3" double barrel SxS derringers that use .410 or .45Colt ammo. The small derringer grips are a joke, but I found that the Pacmeyr rubber grips from a standard Ruger Blackhawk will fit and make it a perfect snake gun. Good luck.
