My search at Loaddata.com (a subscription service) gave no results for working up a load for 156 gr. Oryx bullets in 7x57. Norma has loading data but only for their powders--of which I have none. Have a bunch of RL-19 and 22, H4831, IMR 4064, H414
Does anyone have a starting load in these or similar powders?
Thanks in advance.

Use 160gr data, H4831 works fine and so does H4350.

Yup. Data for 7x57's varies somewhat, though, due to differences in throat lengths. plus caution about old rifles.
I have used the 156 Oryx quite a bit from my short-throated Serengeti rifle. The load used is 46 grains of H4350, for right around 2700 fps from a 21" barrel. It among the most accurate loads in that rifle, and has worked well on animals up to wildebeest in size.

Thanks gents. Those look like what I've been considering.
I took a look at Hodgdon's database and it's got a good assortment of load/powder combos for 160 gr. partitions.
Rifle is a modern (Montana action) but will verify throat. If I can get ~ 2500 fps it would be great.
(John, I'm finally loading up some of that brass you sent.)
