I've had one of his knives for about 8 years now, took far less than 3 years though.

Glad to see Geno is still making knives. They always struck me as be really reasonably priced for what you get. Haven't seen one in quite some time, congrats!

Lawdwaz, that is truly a knife to treasure and use for a lifetime as stated above.
I'm a huge fan of the South Carolina school, and have had knives from at least a dozen SCAK members, including the dean, George Herron. I heard Mr. George say at the sadly defunct SECK show many years back that GenO was the most naturally gifted maker he'd ever trained, and my experience certainly bears that out.
It is truly a shame that GenO hasn't promoted himself more. His workmanship is so precise one cannot find a flaw. In fact, on Mastersmith Don Fogg's website some time back their was a discussion among 'smiths such as Tai Goo, Burt Foster, Nick Wheeler and others gloating over GenO's solder joints and how at the BLADE show they all thought one of his polished soldered hilt knives was an integral. Praise like that can't be bought, but only earned.
What a lot of people don't know is that GenO makes a bargain line of Herron style hunters for the local folk in his area in batches, and if one times it right they can be lucky enough to score one or more. I buy them 3 or 4 at a time for gifts. In my opinion they are THE value in custom fixed blades.

Very cool. I have gutted more deer with the two knives I own from Geno than any other. They balance, cut, and hold an edge pretty well. I really like the thin blade for working on deer.
