OK, it's the standard F-1 Chrony, I may buy the printer for it. At any rate, now I can see what my reloads are doing in the way of velocity.

Santa brought me the same thing; we must've been good this year (grin). I predict a very long range day as soon as it stops raining.

That's my problem, I took all week off, and it has rained every day. The rain gods must know I got a chrony.

I'd be very interested in knowing the velocities of your 257Wby loads with that 24" bbl. Go shoot in the rain!!!

Tips for a chrony( I have an F1 also)
Lose the steel sky screen rods, replace with wood dowles, You WILL hit them.

You dont need sky screens on overcast/ clowdy days.

You can shoot in the rain, just streach a piece of saran wrap where the sky screens should be.

Make sure you shoot OVER it and not THROUGH it

Take a .22LR with you to make sure it works. One time I had 12 rounds to check with 3 different powder charges and it took me 6 shots to get the darn thing set up right.

Don't let your friends use it--its only a matter of time before someone misses! The [bleep] you can feed your buddies for shooting your chrony doesn't equall the $ or hassle of replacing any of the parts.
