My goal is to reduce, as much as possible, run out for my next cartridge.
The RCBS Competition Seater die $74.99 and is built to reduce run out. The Fosters BR Seater is $42.49. The Redding Seating Die includes a bullet guide and runs $25.99, but I don't know if that bullet guide will reduce run out. Their Competition Seater runs $93.99.
The Hornady Seater die has an alignment sleeve to reduce runout and runs $17.99.
Is the $17.99 die going to do what the other more expensive dies do when it comes to reducing run out?
TIA
BJ

"The RCBS Competition Seater die $74.99 and is built to reduce run out."
If that was their goal they missed the mark.
Of all the standard dies (7/8x14) only the Forster BR and Redding Comp dies are designed & made well enough to actually reduce average run-out.
Even with the best of seaters we need straight case necks to start. You can spend a lot of money for a finicky bushing type sizer or get a Lee Collet nwck sizer which does the job better and easier. If you want to FL size, get a body die as well, the two do a fine job for any factory chamber.

Boomtube is right. Forster and Redding make some really good seaters.

Another vote for the Forster seater. Add a Lee collett sizer and you'll produce some nice straight rounds.
I was hoarding when hoarding wasn't cool.

I know that the Forster is a fantastic product but not first hand.
I do have a couple of the Hornady seater dies and they're fantastic; I intend to get another for the 6mm-250 I just picked up.

The Forester seems to seat by bullet nice and straight every time.
Oh ya, I like Forester.

What bullets?
I have some Redding and Forster seaters, two of the very best.
In 22 cal/Forster, I have had issues with secant ogive bullets (read Hornady A-Max) with compressed loads.
The Reddings were fine with such bullets.
FWIW Forster will make a different cupped seater stem if you need it and still run less than the Reddings.
Reddings won't do what Forsters will do, much cheaper, IMO.
