Anybody whose done this, id like to know what route you went. I have an old enfield lying around and would like to put a scope on it for a spare spare rifle.

I know very little or nothing about these rifles, mine has many different smiths engravings on it i believe its been sporterized and it has a canadian quarter embedded in the stock. How might i tell what model it is?

OK I bought an S&K scope mount for my Savage No.4 and it has not moved since installing it two years ago. I did not want to drill and tap the receiver so went that way. There are no gunsmiths near where I live anyway.
