As promised,here are directions from San Antone to ranch.
We were told to behave in San Antone as bailing one (or more) out of jail isn't in the outfitter's job description.
Pat..he said he'd have a head count to you tonight.
These outfitters are quick to respond and seem a good,fun bunch.
Requested directions:
map quest; Telegraph take 377 go through town about 4-miles the ranch is on the left. There a big entrance that reads 700 Springs Ranch the gate will be unlocked. Please have everyone close the gate behind them. Follow the road to the lodge.

Later... LeRoy, I lived out here for 18 years and have only seen harmless garter and rat snakes. I have been bit a bunch of times by scorpions, the sting gets your attention but nothing toxic. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the trip and of you in shorts and rubber boots.

Still plenty enough of them that a person needs to look where they sit and pay attention in tall grass. But they are not behind every bush like some fear.
