I am celebrating the first good news I have had in a long while!!!
I had an interview today with the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife for a Wildlife Biologist position doing endangered spp. field work (mammal trapping, telemetry, and GIS) with a subterranian prairie spp. Lots of long hours walking and digging in rocky soil...just my kinda booger<grin>.
I was nervous as HE!! because she had an overwhelming response to the position.
Weeeeeeeell, I did better in that interview than I have ever done in my life, especially given how nervous I was. I was on top of it, man....on top of it!
I am soooooooooo proud! Sounds like I am a top candidate for the position and if my refs dance...I have a DAMNED good chance of catching this taxi!
I am going to go open a beer and answer my PMs(sorry I have been a miss...it has been a hard few months).
Wish I could buy us all a round<grin>!

I don't know what it is about this place...but one of the first things I thought as I was freaking out in the elevator...was "I can't WAIT to tell the boyz the good news!".
