I got a blue last fall and am getting a shoulder mount. I just wish I would have had the backskin also, but didn't think of it at the time. Maybe when I go back to get his cousin (the Black) I will pick up a Blue skin. They are pretty neat.
Also, you gotta get a Wartie!!!!
Blue Wildebeest = Poor Man's Cape Buffalo
Warthog = Poor Man's Ele.
I got both and am closer to poor than before and plan to get closer. After all, someone has to keep the world economy thriving.

I had my cross hairs on a big blue and all I could see was bovine. Chose to not shoot it for that reason. Yep, I've had the same experience. Same thing with eland: could've bagged one, but saw only a big cow standing there. Now what if it had been a Lord Derby Eland?

Ill be taking a black when we go. Hopefully the 300 wsm can find the shoulder and knock it on its ass! Shoot low and don't get fooled by the high shoulder..... Ask me how I know. I did not have any qualms in shooting my black, had to do it 4 times  Randy

I'm going back in for safari #2 in August. I have both blue & black on my wish list....(along with eland, another kudu, nyalla, & warthog).
