No, but they look like fun! I saw the video clip on the sportsman channel, when they did the buffalo hunt with the rifle and I think Doug Turnbull introducing the caliber/ Rifle...impresive!

I watched the Nosler TV show the other evening and Mr. TurnBull was on there, and they were hunting moose in Alaska with that rifle. It sure looked like a dandy to me. And Mr. TurnBull semed to be a really great guy. Kind of impressed me as a man of his word. Tom.

It's gun-porn for sure. I have to buy a lever gun every decade or so, dreaming up some "need" for one, and the rifle Turnbull has featured has me dreaming again. Guns are like women for me; I can avoid temtation with much more success than I can resist it. Good thing I'm single!

the new rifle mag has an article about it. his work is sexy to say the least. i was just thinking where i could come up with an extra 3-4 for one. i may just buy a browning 71 high grade and save up for the convertion.

Its a nice rifle, for sure, but if I had the money it costs...I would rather use my old lever action on a nice big game old style hunt here in the states!

Cobrad, Doug was kind enough to send one to us last year for my spring big bore shoot to play with. I must say it's a very fine, very well done rifle. It shot and feed like a true Dangerous Game rifle should. All that shot it were very impressed. The cartridge, 475 Turnbull, appears to be a true Big Bore Cartridge in my honest opinion.

It sounds like a great round for a lever gun. I would think it to be well suited for use in Alaska. I like the speed in handling and reloading of a lever gun. Wonder if Turnbull would send one to me for testing purposes on elk. I was a licensed outfitter here in CO for a number of years. Well qualified tester... famous, sort of... maybe....once...I thought.

A buddy of mine in MS just got one and an LBT mold. He loves it. I am afraid when I go see and shoot it I will just have to buy me one.
At one with the gun.

You guys are killing me with this! I didn't think this thread would go this far. It is hard to set aside the object of ones' lust when one is continually reminded.
