The toughest, relyable, accurate, best hunting rifle? #4050990 05/02/10 Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 258 I idahostalker OP Campfire Member OP idahostalker Campfire Member I Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 258 What do you think is the strongest/toughest, most relyable, accurate (doesnt have to be target accurate but should be able to shoot ATLEAST 1.5 inch groups with handloads from your average joe hunter), best factory hunting rifle out their for your average joe hunter?

I agree the Ruger is well made, but accuracy has been so-so IME. Most I have shot or owned were 2.0" rifles.

They are not my favorite anymore though. I prefer more accuracy than most will produce.
