I bought a box of 180grn, .308, Deep Curls, aka Fusions for my 30-06 yesterday. They just got in to Midway. I have wanted to try these with RL-17 because the fusion bullet has a rep. of being very accurate due to the plating process. As usual my T3 Tikka will tell me if she likes them. This could be interesting! Yes, I am a hopeless reloader searching for Alpha over the next hill. (the perfect load) I already have the RL-17 and a really good load with a Sierra Game King HPBT 165grn. This will be the first try with 180's in the firearm. They are bonded but don't seem to be extremely hard so here goes I will report my results in the next month or so. Buckfever1

I swear, I just looked at their website and all the deep curls show "coming soon" AND they didn't even list 180 gr Deep Curls!

How did you find them?

I called a couple days ago and they wern't in yet but said they could take my name and send me an email when they arrived. Yesterday I got an email that said they had a small number in so I called and got an order placed and later saw the shipping notice. When they wern,t in they didn't expect them until end of May. Just happened to be on the computer when the email came to me. Buckfever1

I have read a lot of Internet messages and they say they are the same as the Fusions. I know they are plated instead of poured like the hot cores. This is a bonded, plated bullet. The Fusions are really accurate in my buddies guns as factory ammo. I thought they might make a really nice Big Buck Thumper 180grn. in an 30-06. I will try and see if my gun like them. Probably looking to end up around 54 grns of RL-17. Looking for accuracy over velocity. Max. shooting would be 300 yds. and 90% of my shots are 100yds or less. Buckfever1

If those are Fusions I'll be looking for them too. We've knocked over 10 or so deer with the factory Fusions, from 60-300 yards, and they've done great.

Got it, thanks.

I was looking in the 150gr-180gr section, it was in the "180 gr and heavier" section.

For $30.49, not 27 bucks. When I signed in, I got a 50 cent discount

There will be, but they're phasing it in slowly

120 in .257, 150 in .277, 160 and 175 in .284?

Not my cup of tea.

Sounds like they are starting with heavy for caliber bullets. I like the 160's for the 7mm RM so may give them a try eventually.

Correct me if I am wrong but I checked both webites and the fusions are boattails and the deep curls are flat bases.
