almost forgot what was used for the killings.
i used my 6.5x55 shooting 140 hornady interlocks on the doe, and a 12" razor sharp bowie type knife on the hog
tan dan used a kampfield 257 w.m. shooting tsx
the badger used a 243ai with 85 tsx
terry okie used her good looks and witty charm to slay her porker.

Ahh, Del Rio!
There used to be an infamous radio station in Del Rio, with 500,000-watt transmitter across the border in Ciudad Acua, that old-time radio listeners could hear at night, all over the United States. It was infamous also for some of the most outlandish and ridiculous things that it advertised.
One of my friends' father ordered the guaranteed never-fail roach-killer and got a laugh out of it two pieces of two-by-four marked "A" and "B." Instructions said to put the roach on block "A" and hit it with block "B."
He didn't think that the always-sharp razor blades, guaranteed to be as sharp after a year of use as they were when you got 'em, were funny when he got razor-blade blanks that had never been sharpened.
"Good enough" isn't.
Always take your responsibilities seriously but never yourself.

To: Everyone of the Campfire Texas Hog hunt
I have to say this weekend was one of the best hunts we have had in a long time, you all are a great bunch of people, we hope everyone had a great time.I wish we would have shot and KNIFED a alot more of those hogs, but thats the way it goes some time when your Hog hunting you see 1000 deer and when your deer hunting you see Hogs. Well the wind and heat did'nt help.
The food was GREAT, thanks Pat and you to Bart. Dont expect that VIP parking everytime Bart LOL.
I will start posting more. See a few of you guys in the fall.
Thanks again Mark

Before anyone starts posting about the bar scene in San Antonio,it didn't happen that way... And I was polite to whoever it was and I don't know why that chick got so mad... Just picture the movie "High Noon" 'cept it's midnight and the bad guy is a gay dude named Habeeb. Bart's wearing the white hat.

I think the blue tape spooked 'em, but the 350lbs of pit bull hanging on slowed her just a bit.

Well guys I missed out and had to head down to the coast for the weekend, but my weekend wasn't a total loss.
Caught a few fish and ate crawfish and shrimp every day.
Also got to visit with my grandpa, who hasn't been doing so well and had my grandma's chicken and dumplings-which ain't ever a bad thing.
Glad to see that it went well. I'll catch yall next year.

We were about 4 hours into following the dogs when they took off after the pig. Sure wish I had my camera with me at that moment. Have the catch pits on each end of hog in a small cave fighting him some, all the rest of us watching as dog owner needs a knife man. Bobbie steps forward, between the dogs at each end of a hog in a small cut out in the river bed. Real hands on experience. He can tell the rest. The only way, with dogs, is to use a knife. No guns allowed. Six of the group out there, the rest were dog handlers and guides. Bobbie did a real good quick job. He was pumped after that one for sure.

Man I don't even have the words for how great this trip and the people were. I said it this weekend and I will say it again here I don't care one bit that I didn't tip over a pig, this trip was a birthday/father's day gift from my wife. Being able to go with my little man and share company with you guys was better than any porker by a long shot. Now for the pics.
