Dave, I had a 71 Torino, 2dr hardtop with the 351 cleveland. Great car.

As far as the Pinto is concerned I've always said that Ralph Nader went after the wrong car. It should have been a Pinto instead of the Caviar as the Pinto so lite in the rear end if you didn't watch it it would try and swap ends on you.

I hope I never see another one of my first cars.... 1981 AMC Concord wagon. POS. Had to add oil and check the gas at every gas station. She burned a quart every 40 miles. It had 287,000 miles when I blew it up. grin


I couldn't agree with you more, Tzone. My first car was a '79 Chevette 4dr. and like your Concord, it used more oil than gas. I used to keep all the oil from changes my Dad did on our other vehicles and dump it in that car. I didn't like that car much, but I do have some good memories of things that happened in it. smile
