You didn't get rain last night Bill?

We got blasted a 12:30. My ditch was full up to the road, that's about 3' deep. It all came in 20 minutes.

I easily had 50 gallons of water on the boat cover this morning. It took a bunch of scoops with a 5 gal. pail to empty it.

Bill, it's coming along really well. I had the kids clean out my spray booth (well they have a good start on it anyways) last night.

Spray booth was full of barn boards for the cabin.

If I'm cleaning out the spray booth you know what that means right?

come hell or high water that little car will change colors this weekend. I'd like to get past priming and blocking & spray some base & clear this weekend since we have a nice long weekend, we'll see how it goes.

Weekend of the 12th.

my thoughts on car shows have never been about winning anything, I don't think of it as a competition of any sort, just a get together.

I agree. But you'll win. grin

Back to the 50's is cool that way. Just 12,000 cars sitting aroud to gawk at and bs about. Lots of great ideas and artists there, for lack of a better term. Many are a work of art.

I'll drag you guys down there for one. Rent's free.

wow, lots going on since i stopped in last time. Birthdays, fire, new jobs, new paint. I fished Rainy (Canada side) last weekend and caught some walleyes, but they were always too big. That slot is almost impossible (14 to 17.5). Closest we got was 19. Biggest I got were 3 27s. Then off to Midway Utah for work, nice country out there.

The army worms/tent catepillars are horrendous this year. Anybody know how to get rid of them????

Dawn dish soap works on them little worms too. spray your house down too and they won't climb on it either. works pretty good! Crapolades going to be going down this weekend Tzone. can about taste them now.

Ohhh. I could use some crapolades Buschy!

I'll be fishing on a real busy lake this weekend. One of the best bluegill spots is 200' from the boat landing. I could sit there all day and watch the "holliday boaters" and drunk trailer backer-downers launch and retrieve boats all day.

makes me smile like heck. smile

I'm ready for the mn muzzldr season kids. I just bought a Remington M 700 MZ from Whelen Nut, here on the fire. He even bought me lunch.

I've met a bunch of campfire people in the last couple years and they've all been Top Notch. Whelen Nut is no different. Super guy.

Thx for the update Dave. Can't wait to see it with some paint. smile

BP, sure wish we were getting the rain. According to the Wisconsin River Valley Improvement Authority, we're in the worst draught since they been keeping records; which is before the Dust Bowl of the 30's. We're about 42" below normal over the last 8 years. mad

I will have to try the Dawn dish soap or the bleach solution on those dang army worms. They are terrible here. They totally distroyed our one oak tree by the old shop. They have made their way to the new shop and got at least 4 of the trees back there so far. I was sure enjoying crushing them when we were working on the rubber bricks the other night. I couldn't help it, they were in my way. laugh

I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.
