Hi,
I think I posted the original query in reloading software site instead of here,
my apologies so here goes again.
Looking for load data to use 215gr Heads with my 303 Long Lee Enfield. cant see any data except for 180gr.
appreciated if anyone can help.

What the hell is a 'Head'

I think he is referring to the bullet. I never understood why some folks call bullets "heads."

Damnedest argument I ever saw was two men arguing over an arrowhead one of them found. About which end was the top and which end was the bottom. I figured it depended which way you was holding it, but they had a whole different idea. miles

I recall asking the guy running a gun shop in an AL town if he had an 35 caliber bullets he asked '35 Remington, 35 Whelen, 358 Winchester, which one?'

I said I was asking about a bullets not cartridges. He then picked up a box of bullets and a box of ammo and said 'These are heads (shaking the bullet box), and these are bullets (shaking the ammo box'.

Shooters in some former British colonies tend to call bullets heads. Have mostly heard it from South Africans.

FWIW, Steve Redgwell's books are a very good source of information on the .303s.

The 215 grain Woodleigh Weldcore loads in his works list H414, H4350, H4831SC, IMR4320, IMR4350, and RL-19 as recommended powders.

Minimum loads for each are thus:
H414 = 39.5
H4350 = 39.5
H4831SC = 41.5
IMR4320 = 36.0
IMR4350 = 39.5
RL-19 = 40.0

Maximum loads for each are thus:
H414 = 43.5
H4350 = 43.5
H4831SC = 45.5
IMR4320 = 40.0
IMR4350 = 43.5
RL-19 = 44.0

Lyman 46th lists loads for both a 215 gr. jacketed SP, and a 210 grain cast.

The jacketed powders and starting loads are:
H-380 = 40.0
IMR3031 = 32.0
IMR4064 = 35.0
IMR4320 = 37.0
IMR4895 = 36.0

The cast powders and loads are:
RedDot = 10.0 (1245 fps) MAX = 12.5 (1415 fps)
700X = 9.0 (1165 fps) MAX = 12.0 (1375 fps)
GreenDot = 9.5 (1190 fps) MAX = 13.0 (1425 fps)
PB = 9.5 (1130 fps) MAX = 12.0 (1310 fps)
Unique = 10.0 (1210 fps) MAX = 13.5 (1450 fps)
SR7625 = 10.00 (1170 fps) MAX = 12.0 (1300 fps)

Must be a childhood thing as bullets were fired from a gun,
appreciate that I should be calling the (heads) bullets.
I am overhere in the UK and some call them bullets others heads.
have notgiced though usually bullets in the states though

Also, www.loaddata.com has some data for the 215, but alas you need to subscribe to that site, but there is a TON (metric TON for you) data on that site.

For some folks, it is that part of the body above the shoulders for holding all of their excess feces...

Could they also be known as roundnoses, as in 180 grain Roundnose softpoint?

The Woodleigh SNs are round noses. They call them SN. It's a marketing thing. This is a Weldcore.
