courtesy Utah Dept of Corrections

a few particulars from the manual:

--some number of gunman, one randomly issued a blank

-25-feet from a benchrest

-aim for the heart

-sandbags behind and a tub underneath to catch any "drainage"

- three other death row inmates (of 9) have also selected this method of execution

I guess the one point raised in the article that I tended to agree with was the fact that all the hand-wringing focuses the attention on the convict rather than the crime victim (which is probably why they're choosing it)

What's wrong with using a .50 caliber?

Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

Well, there's no sense in making a big deal about it.

You could say that... It would over penetrate the whole damn prison... It would be a good idea to have the other death row inmates clean up the mess...

I don't feel these condemned deserve such a honorable and romanticized death.

Rope, can be used multiple times, and doesn't cost very much at all.
