It's been many years since I lived in Colorado, but my impression of Vail is an ersatz alpine village for the rich, not exectly the kind of place where you're likely to find a "man store". I could be wrong.

Just beer.

You might take the drive up the Red Stone Road to Piney Lake, About 12 miles back north. Nice scenery and you may even see moose if you go early or late enough.The road turns off of the frontage road on the north side of I70.

Good gravel base,but canbe sloppy at times.

Take rain gear, this is the rainy season.
