The Oregon controlled hunt drawing results are out online at
ODFW. I drew a deer tag with no preference points but did not draw elk so now I'll have three points for next year!

Points on everything and did not draw the sought after sheep or goat tag. Lots of summer steelheading planned for this coming fall, and maybe some archery hunting.

Unsuccessful on blacktail deer, but drew a Sitkum ML late elk tag in December with no points. Yea!...jim

Drew 1st season rifle Murderers Creek elk tag, nothing else though.
But I'm pretty happy to get that elk tag, can't wait!!

Congrats to you all but a bummer for 'heavywalker'. Summer steelhead sounds like fun, '1minute'. This winter was kind for goats and sheep! I've given up on Murderers Creek but get a bull tag about every three years in Sled Springs. Some wicked country in that Sitkum unit as I remember as a kid. Shoot straight...

I saved $32 by not applying this year. I can use it on a down payment for an archery tag.....

General seasons but that is ok. No draws but didn't try should be in the Hart MT antelope hunt mix next year with 16 points.
If there is any proof of a man in a hunt it is not whether he killed a deer or elk but how he hunted it.

Exactly where I am. Maybe I will see you in Sled Springs. We will hunt off of Lloyd Road.
I will be hunting elk in Western Oregon again this year.

I drew nothing. More preference points for next year. Over the counter tags for this year. That's not a horrible bad thing. I can have some fun with it.

My son and I both drew our second choice of High Cascade Buck. No biggy but a nice time to be out with a rifle. The boy got a youth any deer tag in Southern Oregon and I picked up a spike tag in NE Oregon. I may just bow hunt elk anyway.
Unsuccessful on everything else.
