We all have morals, just at differant degrees. Please don't get the fealling that I think I am better thn anyone else. I don't. I was just defending his opinion on the subject, and felt he didn't need to be belittled because of it. The way some guys went off it was like being back in jr. high.

If he doesn't want his kids to watch that the he should be able to say so. No differently than me saying everyone should own a Whelen. Some guys would rather hear a fat lady fart than own one. We are all different. That is all I was saying.

I'm with you,I just don't take too much seriously,besides,weiner jokes are funny!

This has nothing to do with boner pills or morals.

I'm just wondering if OLN programming is different in different parts of the country. When I was living in Virginia it seemed like only bicycling and rodeo was on the OLN. Now that I'm in Texas it seems like there is nothing but hunting, fishing and shooting.

If you must watch TV and shelter your kids from things that might make them ask you uncomfortable questions. I recommend buying a Tivo or something similar and you can watch the program commercial free afterwards.

The boner pill companies help pay big money for the programs that many of the rest of us like to enjoy. Your kids probably know more than you think and are probably just as embarrassed as you are when seeing them. Hearing an explaination of something from a parent might be more valuable than trying to keep them sheltered. If they are too young to understand you might just want to say that you'll explain it when they are older. When I was a kid, I really hated seeing those maxi pad and douche commercials around my parents. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I was wondering the same thing. About the programs run on OLN here in AR. Some of the shows that I see advertised in magazines about guns or some kind of ammo don't seem to be on the local OLN. At least not according to the guide. I see a lot of rodeo and such. That's the reason I started to read this topic. As for the pill ads, I'm sick of them. They run them on every kind of show around here, even the news. BM

Are you 100% sure you're talking about the same channel? OLN and the Outdoor Channel are different -- Outdoor Channel has a lot more hunting, fishing, shooting.

As for ads, the one that made me do a double-take was one for a natural hangover cure -- attractive young couple in a nice suburban house, wife says to hubby, "Boy, you look rough ... you were hitting it pretty hard last night!"

First time I saw it was on Comedy Central so I thought it was a joke, until I saw it somewhere else, too.

Thanks for pointing that out. We had the Outdoor Channel in Virginia and I believe it's OLN down here in Texas.

I think OLN has more hunting, fishing and shooting than the Outdoor channel though.

How are things back at the club?

Don't know about where you lived in VA -- but in Alexandria we get OLN on cable. They only have hunting shows in the mornings, and a couple weekday evenings.

The couple times I've seen Outdoor Channel it was all hunting, all the time.

Hate to admit it but I haven't been to the range since December. For any prospective law students out there -- second semester is a LOT tougher.
