I just bought a Tikka T3 lite in a 25-06. It came with Tikka scope mounts that attach to a rail on the top of the rifle's receiver. I have always been a Talley rings and mounts man, but I am thinking about using the Tikka mounts. Has anybody had any experience with these Tikka mounts?

Yes I have. I used them on my 270 WSM and then thought I'd like to try the Burris setup since I like the inserts in the Signature rings, so I took off the stock rings and mounted the burris set up. The Burris works great, but so did the original Tikka's, and they were much lighter. It changed the balance of the gun a bit and I believe I liked the Tikka's better. They are almost too light and make you think they won't do the job. I might have ran around a hundred rounds through them before I put the Burris's on. They worked great for those rounds and I have no reason to believe they wouldn't have kept working just as well.

Thanks for the feedback RickyD. Did yours Tikka rings come with medium or low height. My mediums appear too high for my Nikon 3-9x40 scope.

They must have been medium. I guess. I don't really know. I imagine they put the same height on every hunting rifle. Maybe taller ones on their varmint barreled guns, if those even come with them.
I put a 3X9X42 Kahles on mine it it looked fine and came right up for me to give a nice fast sight picture, so I sure felt they fit fine for my application.

Rob, I have the Tikka Optilocks on my 595 Continental 22-250. Mine are the mediums and they seem a little tall for my 6-18 Fullfield.
I really don't mind though and really like the mounts.
