I would like to purchase a power screwdriver for reloading purposes. What would be a good and reliable brand. I had one a few years back for general purposes and it was a POS!
What are the experienced loaders here using ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif" alt="" />

Thanks.. BP...

You will find inexpensive and POS are synonymous.

If you want something that will last for years and hold a charge for hours of general use - go with Bosch, Makita, Dewalt, ... Difference in opinion on these is going to be from "professionals" that use them daily for hard work and will often be issues of personal comfort, durability of switches, or floor impact, charge time, voltage available, etc. More volts means more power and usually lasts longer when under the same strain. These will last years for the typical home owner. I'm sure there are exceptions due to personal experience.

If you want the price range of the local walmart B&D/skill products, I've found one to be about as good (bad) as the other. But for occasional light use (such as brass polishing/trimming where you leave it on the charger between uses - it will be fine. These work out well for the occasional picture hanging and very small home repair.

I use the regular old Black and Decker. I've had to buy another rechargable battery for it but it lasts as good as any I've seen and the price was right. BM

If you want to be happy, buy the highest volatge rated driver you can find.
