I have a wonderful 1930s Mauser 410 sporter that is missing the rear sight slide. I posted a want ad in the classified without much hope. I would like to replace the slide even if I use one that is not properly calibrated for the 22 long rifle round. Can anyone tell me what might fit into the base? The base is right at 2.4 inches long and it is about 2" from the mounting holes to the rear of the base. See attached pictures. Any help, sources or information is very much appreciated. TexasJohn

I think there is only one thing to do and that is to give it to me or sell it me very cheap since it is obviously not good to anyone in it's current state.
I know I wouldn't want it around and I feel it is only right for me to take it off of your hands and to rid you of this terrible burdon.
I will sacfrifice! I know you will thank me in the long run and we will beome good friends because of it.

That really is in good shape. Too bad someone altered the bolt handle (at least for us collector types). The rear sight leafs are out there, but are few and far between. While this sounds crazy, I think your best bet is to find a junker Mauser 22 just for this part, then sell the rifle for whatever you can get for it, or keep it as a parts gun for your Mm410B. I have a very early example of this rifle that has seen lots "off season" use, which is what the Germans called these rifles. I wish it looked half as good as yours. Good luck. LC

The rear sight slide of a Es 350B looks the same. Will it work? How about the DSM 34? KKW?
Thanks. John

Thanks. John Any of the "B" model Mausers will interchange rear sight leafs. I believe most, if not all of the detachable leafs on earlier Mausers will as well. I am also pretty sure that any of the various makes of the DSM 34 sights are the same, since they were all based on the Mauser DSM 34, which was based on the sporting 340B (or vice versa?).

Did you ever find an original rear sight for your MM410B?

Swammie, As a matter of fact, I did. I found a sight off an earlier model that was very nice and got it for the best possible price! Mauser nuts rock!

Swammie, Now I need a sliding sight that will fit an ES 350 or MS 350.......Is there no end to the madness?
