I've got a Smith and Wesson Model 57 and the nickel finish has taken on kind of a smokey look. It was this way when I bought it. What's the best way to get it shiny again? I used to own a nickel Python that some guy had polished right through the nickel on it so I want to be careful.
Happich SimiChrome Polish ... use it as often as necessary. Works well for polishing all steels and many other metals, as well. Use a soft cloth to put it on and polish it off - you'll be absolutely amazed. I've resurrected some nickel finishes I thought were goners with this stuff .... been using it for 35 yrs.
