Is this stuff going to be around for a while or should we be stocking up?

What do you guys think?

I'm more concerned with the brass and, yes, I have stocked up.

I can find the ammo for .75 a round; what would be a good price for new brass?

Graf has it at $.33 to $.27 per round depending on how much you buy. Natchez, Mid-South and Midway don't list the the .250 or .300 brass at this time.

Glad you guys brought this up. I just checked my inventory and find I only have 100 of the 300 Savage and only 150 of the 250-3000.

I need to get an order in to Graf's pretty soon.

Yes, I think you should stock up & also 300 Savage which has become hard to buy in factory ammo in northern Minnesota just this past hunting season.

I buy the 87 grain factory boxes of ammo whenever I see them at a gun show. More accurate in the older barrels and quite adequate for whitetails.

I think Jack just said a mouthful!Ten years ago +/-,303 Savage ammo was virtually unsaleable.Writing is on the wall.Buy up Savage caliber ammo and put it up.Especially if it's made by Win.

Did you guys see that the 2005 issue of CABELAS Shooting catalog has 303Sav ammo listed. Under "obsolete Ammo" item XS-21-5402-196 for $40/box of 20.

I think the best buy on brass is the Bertram stuff at Graf's.

There have been several bad reports on the OWS crap. 30-50 % of it splits when it is fired.
