I am familiar with that European terminology..... Kryptonite??? This photo was on the cover of National Geographic Magazine about 25 or so years ago. She was a 17 year old Afghan girl. In the late 1990's, the photographer returned to Afghanistan and searched for her and finally found her. She was concealed by a burqa and afraid of the Taliban. Finally, after much discussion, she removed the burqa and allowed her picture to be taken. The photo reveals a 35 year old woman who looked 70. Hard life in rural Afghanistan; no Paris Hilton lifestyle!
