Anybody put a red dot sight on a davy crickett youth model? I've been thinking of putting one on my daughter's.

Are there some ok ones for not a lot of money? What mount did you use?

my BIL has one on the cricket he lets the kids use,they all like it.

Tasco makes a red dot that fits right on the crickett base for $39.99...it fits all rimfire style bases.
The red dot has no magnification, hence no eye relief/parallax issues, and it doesnt even matter if the dot is centered, the bullets going where the dot is...kids love it cause its REALLY easy to use and has that "video game" feel...

I put a Daisy BB gun red dot on my son's when he was little.

Does anyone have an extra scope base for a Crickett that they would like to sell? I know my grandson would love a red dot on his.

I started the kids with a red dot, but found they like the old fixed 4x scope I had better.

I'm kinda fond of the Millett SP-1 which a 1" tube and has a 3 MOA dot. Natchez Supply puts them on sale periodically in the range of $75.00. Normal price is close to $100. They are dead tough, capable of fine accuracy and weigh about 4.5 oz. They also come with RF dovetail and/or Weaver rail compatible rings, as shown in the photo below.
