Gents,
I have an older S&W 22lr revolver.
MARCAS REGISTRADAS
SMITH & WESSON
Hello
No, S&W stamped their revolvers
MARCAS REGISTRADAS to mean
a Registered Patent for the ones they shipped abroad to Spain or Mexico or other foreign countries after
a Patent Infringment right in the late 1800's of which they sued over was won.. The Pre-War Guns were all stamped with a one line address which was
"Made in U.S.A." along with the addition of the famous stamped
round S&W trade Mark symbol we saw stamped on the side of the guns main frame, that was originally designed by
their engraver Alvin White. After World War II when S&W resumed production of Civilian revolver's they changed the address stamp to
a new Four Line address which showed "Smith & Wesson" Springfield Mass U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS "...Thegeneral.
Must be one of them "made in Italy" models.
