Yep...all you'll need to complete the ensemble is a Cowboy Hat, Cowboy Boots, and a southern accent...

Nothing quite like the simple, yet refined, elegance of shorts and cowboy boots.

Aww crap the pics tiny, I was gonna note the Levi Garret bulge also. All this is necessary to fish successfully in the South.

Panther Martins are a very good spinner too. I just looked at my box of spinners and a size 4 Panther Martin falls right in between a size 1 or 2 Vibrax. I like the all black P.M.'s. They work more gooder some times.

Me, I'm a long rod kind of guy. I like the extra length even on smaller streams. It easier to reach out with your arm to control the retrieve. Short rods are fun too though.

I want to go fishin' now. The streams are finally in shape here after the melt off, rain and flooding earlier this year.

I sent off a rod to Orvis that needed the tip replaced and I'm waiting to try it out for the first time ever. I got it waaaay back in the 80's from a hard up druggie that lived in my apartment complex for basically nothing. He sold me all his fishing gear for $50.00 including the broken Orvis rod, reel and line, a tackle box and a couple of other fishing poles.

It's a 7'9" 2wt. It should be perfect for dry flies and midges on the smaller creeks around here.

Yes, but not for trout. You're talking bass and bream with those lures.

Just curious, I catch specks, bream and small bass down here with them. Didnt know if trout would hit them or not. The Beetle Spins got to be my number one lure for catching sheer numbers of fish.

When I signed up at PB I used totally bogus info and a made up email address ending in @aol.com. It's easy to make up a John or Mike or Susan ending in @aol.com. PB has no idea who I am.
