I cannot get the 24 Hour Campfire search function to return anything on this topic. I hate to be redundant, but could you post any favorite loads, powders, etc. (i.e., "go to" loads) for the .35 Remington? I have been through my old Handloader Magazines (don't have them all) and my copy of Pet Loads; all I have found is a Pet Load article from 1968. Thanks.

40gr IMR4895 and a 200gr Hornady RN or SP
Rifle is a M7600.

I'd look at H 322 or RL 7 for the 35 Rem...assuming a 200 grain bullet..
cool old cartridge.. on on a Model 30 S action is on my short wish list...

38.5 gr H4895 and 200gr Remington Core-lokt Yep. I shoot this load in my Contender pistol. Very accurate. I recently tried Ramshot TAC in my gun with very good results. H322 is also good, varget if you can get enough in the case has also been accurate for me.

Lots of good recommendations here. My .35 Marlin is very accurate. I love the 200 grain bullets, but the 180's really tighten the groups in mine. I use IMR 4064 for them.

Keep the ideas coming - Thanks! I have some H4895 and some Re7 on hand, looking for 200 grain bullets now. Blowtorch, so far the only bullets I have been able to find is one box of the 180 grain Speer - if you don't mind posting it, what is your load with IMR-4064?

Odessa, If it were me, I'd strongly consider using the 180 Speer. Attached is a link to some serious 35 rem testing. They load a bit over the 33k psi but check out the links to the bullet testing. They found the 180 and 220 Speers out penetrate almost every other bullet at 35 rem velocities. TAC shoots 180 in my Contender best, while H4895 is the ticket with the 220's. I've come to appreciate the little 35 - alot. I have no issues with running the 35 rem a little hotter than SAAMI in a Marlin 335 or Contender. Link to 35 rem data, tests. http://shootersforum.com/showthread.htm?t=52555

Odessa, There is a forum over on marlinowners.com devoted to the Marlin 336. Plenty of 35 Remington info. Supposedly, Ramshot TAC is supposed to be great for the 35 Rem-but I sold my Marlin 35 Rem before I tried it. I'm playing with my Marlin 1895 45-70 now.
