Dogger the bullet would be fine in any of those cartridges.I load the 140 in my 7x57AI just to get a little more velocity but would not hesitate in the least to shoot the 150's at 2750-2850fps in any of those cartridges for deer size game.powdr

While not the 280 Rem, I'm loading it's short action ballistic eqivalent in 284 win (24" barrel) with the 150 NBT and W760 powder. Getting mid 2900s for velocity and groups right at MOA at 100 yds - maybe just over. Which is about the best this gun will shoot (first two are touching and 1" over dead center). This load is a half grain below the max load Hodgdon lists on their website. Plan on using this load this fall on Missouri white tails.

i load the 150gr bt in a 26inch barrel 284 with imr4350 they shoot really good havent shot nothing but paper yet

The 150 BT shoots lights out in my 22" 7mm SAUM.. I'm getting 2935 avg. over a max load of H4831. It's mild load, but I wouldn't hesitate to shoot it through the ribs of any deer or elk out to 400+ yards.

I shoot the 150 gr BT in my Remington 7x57. Tried 140's but they did not group as well. So far I've taken two mule deer bucks and one whitetail buck at ranges from slightly less than 100 to 300+ yards. All three dropped with one shot, and although I don't think any of them were complete pass throughs, I don't recall recovering any bullets either. For deer size game this is definitely my bullet of choice.

The 150 is one heck of a bullet, I've used it a ton load in my Mashburn @ 3250-3300 on deer/elk/lopes etc. Short, long it don't matter it just pounds them.

My lil 788 (7/08) shoots them very well and I sure wouldn't hestitate to shoot anything that I hunt on a yearly basis with the load.

Never used it in a .280 but I see no reason why it wouldn't rock very well.

I have used the 150 NBT out of a .270 @ 2950 and it's done incredibly well on all that moves.

I'd say load em up and fill up some arks!

Is it true or not that the 150gr.BT have a thicker jacket than in the past? Who knows for sure and how do you know it?

I shoot 150 nos bt in a 284 win. Now using RL-17. Higher velocities (and accurate) than with win 760, IMR 4350, or H4350 which I used extensively over the past 25 yrs.

Dober, my 270s always preferred the 150 BT over any 130 I tried, and w/IMR4350, was my go to bullet. Looks like an ICBM it's so long.

On the 7/08 150BT question, I tried it in a 700 Varmint and the heavy bbl shot them about neck and neck with the Sierra MK HP, load used was an accuracy load recommended in the Sierra Manual.

My then 7 Mag sporter BDL SS shot consistent 1/2" and in the 700V 7/08, one hole as the 140 BT.

Alot of long range guys use the 162 amax in the 7/08 but the 150 BT is a good option for a higher sd/bc bullet with more wt.

No experience on game (140s did very well, seemed a tad soft) but I'd guess they may be a little stouter than the 140, but that's a guess.
