Anybody else having problems here on the Campfire?
Seems that about half of the time it just "sticks" (technical term). I'm just curious if it's just me,or is anyone else having trouble?
I'm on a cable modem and not having trouble going anywhere else but here.
Just curious,thanks.

Bart:

I've been in communication with my tech guy all day. Someone or something is periodically slamming us. They are deep into Columbo mode.

More later.

And, they took the little numbers again, plus rearranged everything. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The little numbers are on the endangered species list.

Rearranged just a bit. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I post often on another computer tech site and I am tight with the admins. There was a "cool" mod to change some parameters for use with firefox to make those pages just "fly". It was posted here in this forum a week or so ago as a way to really speed up the pages on old Ricks site.

When it was posted on our site (a computer tech site) the admins and developers begged guys not to use it as it slammed the site. Killed their bandwidth. Looked almost like an attack as it made a [bleep] (tech term) of connections from a single user or some such. I think the suggested mod was to increase connections to 100 and they begged everyone to limit it to 5 or at most 10 out of courtesy to other users.

Might look into that Rick.
