Dan Wesson RZ, Colt Delta Elite, EAA Witness, or Kimber STS? Which platform would you suggest?

I have an early stainless Colt Delta, I've fired a gazillion rounds through it without any more problems than any other 1911 (one broken extractor).

Can't speak to any of the others.

I really like the Dan Wesson's. I'd pick the "Razorack".

I think the Dan Wesson Commander Classic "Bobtail", 10MM- is also irresistable.

What about Fusion?

If I had a chance to trade for one in the Kimber, I would be hard pressed to not grab it up. Especially one of the Crimson Trace models. Saw one like this in one of this months Gun Rags.

I was just looking on Fusion Firearms Web Site, and you can order all kinds of "Custom and Semi-Custom 1911 Pistol Models", complete.

I have got some firearms that people want to buy, that I will never shoot ... I think I need to do whatever it takes and get a Bob Serva Fusion 1911.

Me either. Like P Weed pointed out, they do produce complete firearms.

The 10mm rocks!!!

I have both a EAA Elite match and a Dan Wesson CBOB. The EAA is very nice to shoot, very accurate and has been very reliable (pay attention to your mags, they're a little cheap and some don't feed well). It's a large gun, so CCW is out of the question.

The Dan Wesson CBOB is just plain sexy. The craftsmanship is incredible and the fit is superb. It feels incredible in your hand and the 4.25" barrel and bobbed MSH make it very concealable. I've only put 250 rounds through mine and the accuracy and handling are top notch. I'm trying to work out a fail-to-eject problem with mine. Like many of the 1911's, they can sometimes take a little tweaking and adjustment to get 100% reliability. Once you get them dialed in, they're second to none. I'll work with mine a little more to see if I can get the problem worked out. If I can't, I'm 100% confident DW will make it right.

I don't think you can go wrong with an EAA, Dan Wesson or delat elite.

I have a Fusion 6-inch longslide in 10mm. Mr Serva brought Dan Wesson back from the brink of bankrupsy and introduced the semi-auto pistol line. He sold the company and started Fusion Firearms. He is areally nice guy to deal with and the accuracy and detail are unsurpassed to my observation. They only have a few employees and produce custom and semi-custom 1911's in popular calibers. I would not hesitate to recommend Fusion. You can google Fusion Firearms to find their site. They also sell parts and gun kits where you do the parts fitting yourself.

I have a old Razorback and a couple of Colt Delta . The Delta are perfect with proper spring and slide stop and digest all in less than perfect shooting conditions.

The Wit is a great gun for the money but is definitely not a 1911 clone. It is a CZ 75 clone. The only one of the other three I've owned was a Delta Elite. I had no complaints.

I've owned many 10's and IMO the Smith 1006 is probably the best.

I have a DW CBOB and Witness Elite. They are both great guns, the Witness is the most accurate pistol I have ever shot, scary accurate, The DW is just a great all all around handgun, looks good, shoots good, and feels good.
If you are interested in a 10MM DW you may have a tough time getting one. DW has discontinued the 10 except for a special few shipped to Cal.

The Fusion, completed, is about 70 per cent more than the DW (not available) or the Colt DE.
While I love the idea of a 6" barrel I'm not sure I want to spend that much more than the Colt or a DW if I could find one.

Why? I carry a 1911 Government all day every day concealed.
