I originally wanted the .303 British, then the .30-40 Krag is a go and now the .257 Roberts in an A configuration?! The funds are there for one of each but reality spoke up and said "all three, really?" Yeah, yeah ok, Sent an e-mail off regarding the .303 to the distributor but if that's not a go, I'll jump on the .257 Roberts.

I have a 257 Roberts 1A ordered.
GH you were right.
The others (chamberings on my wish list) will have to wait. My FFL says they are on allocation. We'll see.
He did come through on the 35 Whelen.

Got an e-mail from Lipsey's which states that they are "exactly like all the other 1A's."
No highly polished blue or upgraded wood I guess.
Wish this was another 1AH run instead!

I just got word my 257 Roberts has shipped and is on the way! I figure it ought to work pretty well in the 1A ....

Ya know, I asked when I got the phone call upon it's arival about the high polish blue. There was a pause on the other end as Bob was wondering wtf I was talking about. He got collected and said it looked like any other blue & walnut 1a. I went back and looked at Lipsey's last night and noticed that comment was missing from the description, I know why. The wood is slightly above average, better than some I have seen lately though.
I'll get a pic tommorrow, honeydo's was the operative word today. Where's that pic at? Did I miss it??
