I really like mine. Nice thing is just that it is a friction system, and is fast. There is some slight distortion around the edges with the Leicas, but the Leupold has a crisp image all around. The ocular on the Leicas is somewhat more concave than the Leupold though. It's 3200 glass which is good enuf for me. Obviously this is not made for any long term glassing sessions. If u get it fit it as i did. Run the string that comes with it through the plastic cover for the "objective" end and a BC ocular cover.

Just bought the 15-30 model a month ago. For a compact, I gotta say that scope is very nice. Sure, it's not a big Vortex, Leica, etc., but for the money it's a solid scope. Looked at the compact Nikon, but it was quite a bit more. I plan on using mine strictly as a small quality scope to keep in my pack to use on hunts (going as light as possible). Would not take a bigger model because of weight. Honestly, the 15-30 model is small and very light...plus it gives you a little more reach over the 10-20 model.

I like the doubler idea. I have a little 10-20x40 Leupold. The glass is good and the image crisp. Definately has its limitations though. I use it a lot for backpack Blacktail and Bear hunts. I am not trophy hunting, so it works fine for a quick judge on game. I was going to get the larger 30x model, but got a great deal on this scope.

I have found it great for putting in my fanny pack on day hunts. I used it last year for elk and the year before on mule deer. Worked great for a little day scope. I do need to get a better tripod though.

I may have to try that doubler. May work good during full light conditions.
