Them were some dang nice fish. Did RWS catch most of them?
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Ya know, I think he did catch most of em!! OK now I've got some mowing improvement photos, I opened up the view from Pam's stand so she can now see better into the heavier timber towards the "porcupine stand" Looking south this is as far as I mowed. Looking north And looking towards the porcupine stand. Then a view from Justin's stand, I'm pretty excited about this spot, the photo doesn't do it justice but this is a really nice shooting lane now.

280 is still one of my all time favorites even though I no longer have one. Largest buck I've ever taken fall to a 280.
Too bad it's a 7400. My old M700 was a tack driver.
If you get it I know someone that has about 4 boxes of Winchester premium ammo in 280 that can be had for a decent price. Well I got me a .280 and it's not a 7400... She's a 7600. Not the one I orgially looked at. I ran some Rem. green box 150gr through it and it shot 3/4" for a 3 shot group, through the Simmons cheapo that was on it. Never believe it DIDN'T have see trus on it either. Leupold rings and mounts. I'll track down a scope for it. I shot my new to me muzzly loader I got from Whelen Nut on here too. It shot minute of deer at 50 yards. I'll do more experimenting with that soon.

To the left of that pic is where I saw the deer come through when I was sitting with PWM. Never crossed that lane. Too little to shoot anyway. Well, not for Ryan.

Pretty hard to beat a big of fresh caught panfish. Dam Dave, I haven't had lunch yet; you're making me hungry!

A 7600 I can live with. I've seen some pretty impressive groups from them. Do you want me to check on the price of those shells for you? Started shopping for deer camp today. Picked up a couple of non-parishables that were on sale. I've seen a few maples that are starting to show signs of turning. Area by our camp picked up 4 inches of rain last night. Good chance that the creek is up over the road into camp. Two inches of rain here overnight.

Yeah sure Bill. I'd appreciate it. It's a synthetic stock, but I'd like to change that. A decent scope and I'll be ready to rock.
I'm at Pete's now and there are a few maples that have some color here too.

I just got done with a marathon weekend, drove up by chickenbuck thursday, got up there at dark and drove down a trail til found a spot to set up the tent and make a fire. in the morning we find out if I had driven another 100 yards there was a fire ring, with stools and an outhouse. my luck. picked some berries, got a few gallons and went to by buddy steve's to set up for butchering chickens all day saturday and yesterday. it was 97 yesterday on the farm when we were butchering. that was damn hot. but we got done. I feel sunburned, wore out and like I rolled down a hill in a barrel I have so many aches and stiff muscles. but a very productive weekend. lots of berries and over 200 chickens in the freezer. when "bubba" saw the pics of you and the boys with fish he pointed to each of you and tried to say your names he got excited when he saw PWM and RWS

Fishing looked great Dave. Burgers too. some tasty vittles coming out of chickenbuck. Wont be long till I can venture out one evening again. I worked on the roof and got that finished at the lake now, good project to be done with. Took the Wife and kids out fishing yesterday on Lake of the Woods and my daughter got 5 nice keepers, the wife got 2 and mine was too big for the box. A nice fat 26" walleye. what a blast and nice day out!!
It is a silly fish that is caught twice with the same bait!
