Truly a classic. Lightly used. Bore is bright and shiny. ONLY mark on the rifle is where the bbl rested against the wood of the safe. I have shown this in the 3rd pic.

Box included. Chambered in the venerable .30-06.

Circa late 70's early 80's. Would have been a Stoeger import, but there is no importer mark. The guy I bought it from claimed to have brought it across the pond himself. I can not confirm or deny this. But there is no mark of an importer.

$800 OBO shipped to your FFL from private party with 3 day inspection. Just in time to get ready for deer season.

I have the exact same sights on mine, and mine was brought back from Germany by a US soldier, roughly in the mid/late 90's. I am 99.9% sure they are factory, and since I NEVER see them on other Sako's I used to think that I had a model 74. I guess they were available for the European market but not the US.

Thanks kragman1. Yes they are factory sights. As I understand it, shooting iron sights is much more common in Europe than it is here and as such the Sakos sold there were/are usually offered with irons.

Couple tire kickers, but no offers yet.

I have to bump this because it's soooooooooo tempting.
That there is a Great deal on a very nice Sako.
I would offer a trade but it looks like cash is king.

Sorry,I drank the Sako-Aid.My opinion may be biased.

This certainly proves that the economy is in the tank. Not long ago I would have jumped on this rifle even though I already have one. IMHO a man would be hard pressed to find a finer rifle for this price. Ken

Very nice rifle but I don't see open sights in the pictures.
