Anyone have any experience with Athens or New Breed Archey. I like the look and performance of the Athens Exceed 300 and New Breed's Cyborg. But, they are both new companies and have yet to establish a reputation.

Looks like a nice bow and the specs are up there. One nice thing would of been a roller guide. The warranty is only good for the original owner , not a big hit with resale. Would like to see some reviews. Curious how much recoil it has? What's the price?

My shop carries Athens Ive shot the Accomplice several times very good bow that gets overlooked alot. Your getting some of the best limbs out there (Barnsdale) and pretty decent strings to boot(Americas Best Bowstrings.)

The grip was my only concern it seemed very vertical at rest not so bad at full draw. If I remember correctly I think the Exceed grip isnt as vertical. I cant remember the price of the Athens but it I know it seemed like you where getting alot for your money.

Bows are so expensive these days I hate to take a chance on a new unproven one. I remember High Country going out of business and leaving folks high and dry on the warranties. Something to think about.

I have a G5....they are great, and for $300 can't be beat.

I try and wait awhile after a new model comes out. I wait to see if it is a hit. I just ordered my new Maxxis 31 on Sat.

I got a new x-force 08 last year during an inventory reduction for 4 bills.
I have been bowhunting, and tourny shooting on and off for the last 20 years.
This is by far the sweetest shooter I have had fast, quiet, and accurate.
Love mine.

The Athens Exceed 300.What originally caught my eye with this bow is the very smoooooth draw.Theres no big rollover. The valley is comfortable and wide enough to not run on you if you creep a bit.The dual draw stops make a rock solid backwall. The grip is superb-not the same as the Accomplice. At the shot no vibration noticed and quite.I have not noticed any creep in the tune with the slaved two track cams. Its a very forgiving and accurate bow.It is DL specific cam so that is a turnoff to some. My Exceed at 28" 65# with a 410grn arrow=291.Its a very sweet shooter.

That's the bow that is used on the tv show BuckCommander. If you have seen those guys, that alone makes me never want to own one, what a bunch of full blown dorks.
