All were great suggestions. I`ll just add that if it were my rifle, I`d stay away from a 3x9 or greater variable magnification. No reason to go that high on a 350 Remy.

For a variable, a 1x3, a 1x4, a 1.24x4, a 1.5x5, a 1.75x6, a 2x7 or the 2.5x8 (MAX) will work just fine. Depends or your bells and whistles preferences and budget (if any), as to which scope will get the nod. No higher than a 2.5x8 though!

For fixed, the 2.5x or the 4x are best. No 6x scopes or greater.

I would think a Leupold FX-II 4X33mm is near perfect for your 350 Rem. Mag. It's simple, reliable and works well from 10 to 300 yards.

Well...that is not a short range only rifle. Trajectory should approximate a 180 30-06, which gives you plenty of reach to 400-600 yards. Not that you need that kind of range, but absolutely the potential is there, and it hits pretty hard out there too.

Since you have the irons, you have more flexibility as far as scope choice as opposed to a clean barrel. Any scope that would be appropriate for a 30-06 would be a good fit here as well.

So use whatever glass you like looking through. You might keep it simple with a 6x42 Leupold in QR mounts. That scope is good for distance, and is not bad up close either, with good eye relief and field of view. That's most of the battle, but you can always take advantage of the irons for spitting distance. Doesn't cost much and they're light and rugged too.

Outstanding suggestion. As would be a M8 3X.

Then again, if you weren't an avowed "Leupold Slut", a 4x32 Conquest might make you grin pretty big, too.

Gotta love the Zeiss glass, mine's nice FC.

Toad, last I corresponded w/Leupy, they are in R&D w/3x and a few more, 7.5/8x and perhaps a 10x IIRC. No more info, assume it will be late this year or perhaps at Shot in Jan. for more news based on their reply.

Alot of good choices, whatever scope with good glass and low X's whether fixed or variable would work for me. No bad choices above.

OP, nice rifle there, well executed, sure to be an executioner! Was that formerly a WSM action, and who added the sights? Thanks.

Leupold 2.5x, 3x, or 4x. Personally, I'd go with the straight tubed 2.5x or 3x, and call it good.

QD rings/bases, wouldn't suck.

First of all, that's one sharp looking rifle. When I had my 350 Rem Mag, I initially used a 4X scope (IOR) but later went to a 6X (Leupold). Nothing wrong with the 4X, I just wanted to try something new. Both of these scopes worked well for what & how I hunted (hunted deer from treestands and without the use of dogs). This is just me but I think a fixed power 4X would do you proud, based on what you've stated. Good luck.

I like a straight 4X on my Whelen but changed it to the 1.75-6X
when I saw one on sale. I usually leave it on 6X.
If I was in the thick stuff all the time the 2.5X would look pretty good to me!

Leupold 2.5-8x or 1.75-6x would be my choice. I have the 1.75-6x on my Whelen but I would choose the 2.5-8 now. 2.5 is perfect for close work and 8x is good for for long range. However, my best group at 200 yds was with the Whelen with the 6x scope.

Kind of leanin' towards a straight power, straight tubed "Lupy" but the 1.5x5 Leupold IR German#4 is still turning my crank as well. Wish I could get my hands on a Trijicon to check out but can't find them locally........Someone want to talk me out of the Leupolds?

Optically, the Trijicons are extremely nice. If your budget can do it, then go for it. Just be aware that the 1" tubed 1.25-4x24 Trijicon may not have enough mounting tube length. May have to use off-setting rings which are damned ugly imo.

Trijicon`s newer 30mm straight tubed (no obj bell) scopes may work much better.

Generally though, the Leupys are lighter.

I eyed the Trijicon Accupoints for a long time, loved everything but the price and that triangle reticle. It was always $200-$300 ,more than I wanted to spend on a scope. Finally I broke down and got one in 3-9 green crosshair dot and man I wish I never waited so long. The money doesn't matter now, but the scope is here to stay. If the 1.25-4 is too short go 3-9 or might try the 30mm 1.25-4x but with that comes more weight too. My fav reticle is Trijicons German #4 in Green. That's next on the toy list to top off my Kampfeld .358 Win that currently has a Kahles 2-7x36 AH on it. Savin one day at a time....

That's what I'd go with. I have that one on a ML now and I'm very pleased with it.

Sorry for the cross-ways pic above; below is a better pic of the Serengeti .350 on a Montana Action and the 4x S&B. It's the bottom one. I realize the handles are on the wrong side and thus the way the rifles are pointing.
